Dance, Dance!

The girls were up at 4:45 am, so around 5:30 after Paul left for work we went for a walk. They eventually fell asleep.

Aislee

My mom got them a Mr. Potato Head. It's a Halloween one and they love putting the teeth in their mouths.

Olivia's a little better at keeping them straight.

Getting a little bored at the car dealership.

We've been rearranging the furniture trying to figure out what would be best since they were getting into the books. We took the bookshelf out and put their toy box in between the couches. They like squeezing between tight spaces.

Summertime and the livin's easy...

I'm sorry I haven't added pictures to my last post. Since it's been a little while and I need to update on more things that have happened, I'll just do a new post. We took a trip to Utah for the 4th of July. We drove from Tucson to Phoenix, hopped on a plane for an hour to Vegas and then drove three hours to Cedar City. The trip wasn't too bad and the girls were very entertaining on the plane for all those who sat around us. We couldn't believe how much greener and cooler Cedar City was compared to Tucson. We took a walk at 10am and didn't feel like we were dying of heat exhaustion. We sat outside in the evenings and felt the cool breeze. Breezes are never cool in Tucson! The girls got to spend time with the Uncles and the cousins. They're still having a hard time with new people, but they're getting better. We had water fights with the Uncles and cousins and watched fireworks on the 4th at the Stake Center. The girls weren't terribly impressed with the fireworks, but we thought they were pretty. After spending time with my family, we flew back to Tucson to meet 108 degree heat.

This past week while we've been home, we've been finding some new toys we didn't know we had. Paul and I now wonder why we spend money on toys when we could just buy a plastic box and sit them on the kitchen floor. Here are a few videos and pictures from our trip and our latest endeavors.

Mixin' it Up!

It has been a while since our last post and we've been a little busy. I'll go in chronological order so I won't miss anything. The week we were finding out what we were having, we had a baby shower for someone in our neighborhood, pack meeting, our ward BBQ and a whole lot of other things to get done. At the baby shower, I found out that our Pack Leaders were moving out of the Ward and the mothers wanted me to be in charge of the pack meeting on Thursday. Paul and I threw some things together and got two of our boys their Bears and two of them their Bobcats. We are glad that is over! Before Pack meeting, we went in for our ultrasound. We're pleased to announce that we will be mixing things up a bit. We are having a BOY! It will be a big change from pink and purple, but we are looking forward to a little guy. We haven't quite agreed on a name yet, so it may be 'hush-hush' for a few more months.
Friday, we attended our ward BBQ and found out that there is a new set of 7 year old twins in our ward. We have four sets of twins! It's amazing...when we first had them I had read a lot about the need for family support groups for multiples. We don't have to look very far to share stories.
Saturday was full of excitement! We took a drive up to the Foothills area to go shopping at the Outlet Mall. The girls are growing out of so many things, it was time to get clothes! If anyone knows Tucson, it is not the easiest place to navigate and the freeway is under construction so it takes over an hour to get from one end of town to the other! We finally made it! Thank goodness the outlet mall is indoors! I found some cute Sunday dresses for under $6 and much needed onesies. Later that evening, I was putting the girls in the tub and started to get some palpitations. Paul finished baths while I rested and tried to get my heart rate back to normal. We waited 10 minutes and then called our Relief Society President to come over and watch the girls while Paul drove me to the ER. After checking me in at the Triage and documenting that my heart rate was above 230 beats per minute, they got me in a room with a crash-cart and a 12 lead EKG. Everything happened a lot faster than last time and within the hour they had given me Adenosine and were getting some paperwork to release me. Thank goodness for medicine. I got pretty nervous when they brought the paddles in and hooked up all the pads for a 'shock'. It took a little longer than last time to get my heart rate back into the 90s, but they didn't feel that I needed further observation. We made it home in time to put Aislee to sleep and finish our movie.
Pictures to come! (not of the hospital, just the girls)

Life in a Box

Okay, we don't really feel like we live in a box even though we don't get out much these days. But, we have been playing in the toy box quite a bit lately. We don't have anything too exciting to report this week. We got a double jogging stroller this weekend and can't wait to use it! However, it doesn't quite fit in the car all put together. Our next big purchase will be a minivan! Yea! We have been trying to get the girls to sleep longer in the mornings. They have been waking up around 4:30 or 5, which was making my day really long. We found that if we let them "cry-it-out" for a few minutes, they usually fall back to sleep until 6:30 or 7. On Saturday morning we went in to get them up so we could play some tennis and run a little. This is what we found. Paul has gone in a few times in the middle of the night to check on them and says that they're usually sleeping right next to each when he checks. Maybe we could win a picture contest or something... Here are a few pictures of our week. We hope you enjoy.

Just pictures and video

Here are a few pictures of our latest endeavors. The girls are getting better at standing and climbing. They love dinner time. We took a trolley up Sabino Canyon this past Saturday and hiked down. It's a pretty nice hike and we're told during the wet-season there are some nice waterfalls. We're trying to go to the pool more often to get the girls used to the water before Lake Powell at the end of July. They really like "rolling" balls with Daddy. Maybe they'll be goalies...

More Updates

I have been a really big slacker when it comes to blogging, but I have an excuse. We forgot our camera in Oklahoma! We are glad Paul's mom sent it to us as soon as she realized we had forgotten it. I'll give just a bit of an update on everybody. Aislee and Olivia are crawling everywhere, pulling themselves up and "cruising" (walking while holding on to things) all over the apartment. They're beginning to realize that when I'm holding one, I am not holding the other. They like to crawl all over me, and cry if I leave the room to go to the bathroom. They both got their top two teeth about a week ago. It was rough week with sores mouths, fevers, and sleepless nights. Paul has been such a good Daddy/Husband by going in to get them when they're fussy and letting me get a little more rest. Paul has been working hard and learning more about his department at Raytheon. They're going to be moving him to another building soon so he can be closer to "his team". Paul has checked out some new books at the library for when he rides the bus so I can have the car. I don't really use it, but it's here just in case I feel like loading everyone up and getting out. As for me, this pregnancy hasn't been quite as bad. I'm still suffering from morning sickness, which should be called ALL DAY LONG sickness. I finally have a doctor who will take me, and he's very nice. I have felt the baby move and so has Paul. We're pretty excited to find out what we're having on the 25th of this month. So far, everything is going well. With Paul's encouragement that I need some time to myself, I have agreed to take a half-hour to an hour a day to exercise when he gets home from work. The doctor said I can exercise as long as I can keep two meals a day and water down. I'm going to start this week! Hopefully it'll help with the morning sickenss. I'm looking forward to getting out a little bit, maybe I'll work on a tan...!

Airzona to Oklahoma to Arizona

For Memorial Day weekend, we flew to Oklahoma to spend some time with Paul's family. His younger sister, Jenny was graduating from high school and his older brother, John was had come into town. We figured it would be one of our only opportunities to fly with two lap babies, and we found pretty cheap tickets. The plane ride wasn't so bad on the way out. The girls slept for an hour of it. However, with a two hour trip to the Phoenix airport, an hour wait for our flight, and a two and a half hour flight, we were glad to see the lights of Tulsa! We arrived Wednesday evening and spent Thursday sleeping in (since 5am in Tucson is 7am in Oklahoma) and crawling all over Grandma's house. Paul and I were able to go on a date to the new Wolverine movie while Grandma and Grandpa gave the girls baths and put them to bed. Friday, we took pictures at Jenny's graduation and played with our cousins; Benson, Grace and Sabrina. On Saturday, Aunt Emily had a babyshower and Daddy took the girls with Grandpa, the cousins, and the Uncles to the park and McDonald's while I got to spend adult time with the ladies. The shower was wonderful. I kinda hope we're having a boy after seeing all the cute little boy outfits. Sam will be a very well-dressed baby! Later that afternoon, we all went to The Night At The Museum 2. The girls aren't really into movies just yet, and we had two very messy diapers! But, the movie was cute and it's always nice to get out of the house. I think the girls have inherited my "people watching" habit. We attended Paul's parents' ward on Sunday and got to see a lot of familiar faces and visit with old friends. Monday we played with Aunt Jenny and Aunt Sarah and Grandpa. Tuesday afternoon we flew back to Tucson. The return flight wasn't as good as our first, but we had a long week and we're glad to be back home. The weekend was a lot of fun. The girls got to try all sorts of new foods. Grandpa fed them oranges, pancakes, bananas, and anything else we would eat. We got tossed in the air by Daddy and John, and got to crawl all over Benson, Grace and Sabrina. We hope they come and visit soon!
