Our First Year

Here is what the girls have been upto this last little while.

Olivia: I've learned to hold on to my pacifier and take it out of mouth. I haven't quite figured out how to put it back in just quite right. I use my thumb when I lose my pacifier. It doesn't fill my mouth, but I like to chew on it. I'm losing the hair on the back of my head because I spend a lot of time on my back. I don't like "tummy time" and haven't quite mastered rolling over. I love the bathtub, especially bath water. I sneak sips while mommy is washing Aislee. My favorite games are "patty-cake" and "airplane" with Aunt Jenny. I like piano music and mommy and daddy's song, The Luckiest. I always sneeze in multiples. I like to be tickled under my chin and armpits. I can stand with the assistance of couch cushions. I sleep from 10:30pm to 7:30am as long as Aislee doesn't kick me. I like trying new things like orange sherbet, cranberry juice floats, and diluted apple juice. Overall, I'm pretty cute and am really enjoying this stage of my life. This year, I'd like to learn how to crawl and walk, try new flavors of ice cream, water ski at Lake Powell with the Uncles, and learn how to say momma.

Aislee:I too can take my pacifier out of my mouth, but I can usually get it back in the right way if I still have a hold of it. Instead of sucking on my thumb, I stuff both of my fists into my mouth and slobber everywhere! I'm also losing hair everywhere. I can roll over at least once during "tummy time". When I'm put back on my tummy, I cry until someone rolls me back over. I like to be held and rocked when it's time for a nap. The bathtub is one of my favorite places. I push off from the sides and kick and splash Olivia. I like playing "patty cake" and being tickled. I like sitting on daddy's lap while he plays the piano and sings silly songs. I laugh when mommy speaks French to me and could care less that le chien means the dog. I can stand with the help of couch cushions too. I sleep from 10:00 pm to 6:30am, but usually end up in mommy's bed until 7:ooam so I won't wake Olivia. I like diluted apple juice, orange sherbet, and mango juice. I'm pretty cute too and being a baby isn't so bad. This year, I'd like to crawl and walk, eat crackers, ride on the water weenie with the Uncles at Lake Powell, and learn how to say momma.

An update of sorts...

We're still in Oklahoma. We learned that Raytheon has a Christmas break...like until January 5th! So, we haven't really heard anything about when we're supposed to get down there. Even though it's past January th, it takes a little while for people to get paper work done after having two weeks off of work! Paul has to get some security clearances and then we're going down to look for apartments. Yea! I'm hoping for a two bedroom...! We may not get down there until the first part of February. In the mean time, we are enjoying our time at Grandma and Grandpa's. We may take a little trek to Texas to visit Paul's brother John and his wife Emily. We got to spend a little time with them over Christmas. We miss hanging out with them already! I've also been "dream shopping" for furniture but I don't really know what to look for. So, if anyone knows of places to buy couches, bed, cribs and other assorted home furnishings, let me know. I've never done this before. Well, here are some pictures. Olivia has the light pink pacifier and the head rest on her car seat is light brown. Ailsee has the dark pink pacifier and has the dark brown head rest on her car seat. Sorry, I don't label the pictures. My time is limited.
