Fall and Fancy Free

I will admit that Halloween has never been my favorite holiday. I don't really like dressing up. I've never been a big fan of chocolate candy. And, I just don't like the whole ambiance of death and spooky stuff. Don't get me wrong, I am quite a fan of Harry Potter. But, Halloween was never something I got excited about. I like dressing my kids up, because they're adorable all dressed up. Not to put a damper on other people's fun for the holidays; to each his own. I do like Fall. I like long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts and not feeling like I'm gonna die if we're outside after 10am. So, Fall is good. We haven't gone out much lately because we've been having pretty early mornings which makes our nap schedule hard. Ewan has a morning nap around 8:30-9. The girls have been waking up at 5am, so they're ready for a nap at 11. And then Ewan takes his afternoon nap at like 1pm. Needless to say, I don't get much alone time right now. Today, however, the girls didn't fall asleep until 1. Kinda throws off our night time schedule, but I'm still gonna try to put them down around 7:30. Anyway, life is busy with three kids under three. I'm told it's only going to get busier.

Ladies in my parents ward gave me some ribbons to make bows for the girls. I have yet to make any bows because they have so much fun just playing with them. Today, we were ninjas for a good hour. Olivia is sporting a green one. Aislee wouldn't hold still long enough for me to catch her as a purple ninja.

I am trying to wean Ewan, so my nursing bibs and pillow are available more often now for play. They have babies in there somewhere.

Aislee woke up first from a nap and wanted to have a picture next to Ewan.

Then, Olivia woke up and wanted in on the fun.

They also wanted their feet featured.

I went in to check on them one afternoon and found them in the weirdest positions. Olivia was twirling her hair in her sleep.

I know, I'm not very creative. This was the same costume as last year, but they fit perfectly in them this year. We went to our new ward's party for a few minutes.

We didn't stay long, but Olivia got some fruit snacks while we were walking around.

It's hard to get them to hold still!

They really like to hold hands in the car. They are the best of friends, most of the time.

Ewan was Winnie the Pooh. I thought this shot was very Pooh-ish since he's trying to pull off his socks while still standing.

Isn't he cute?
I originally wanted to do Harold and the Purple Crayon, but I couldn't find a purple crayon and I was too late to make one. So, maybe next year.

These are very cute costumes! And the threesome foot picture was very cute - hard to tell who's feet belong to who without the previous picture. Sleep eventually comes - so take it when you can.
